God Save The Queen

Forgive me for posting these with only 3 hours of the Jubilee left, but I had managed to escape London entirely this weekend, to DJ at a truly jaw-dropping event in Amsterdam (which you will no doubt hear about both on here and on the Roustabouts blog).

I did come to the Jubilee weekend prepared, as I once again teamed up with that hottie, Miss Miranda. A few weeks ago we previously did some images for the Playful Promises blog, inspired by John Willie and other 50s fetish art, and liked the outcome so much we thought it would work well for this....

The above is a work safe (facebook safe) version, the below is not, but that's what makes it that much better ;)

The styling is all by Miranda, using a What Katie Did corset and lingerie and Fabulously Fetish shoes. The crown is one of the many pieces of random junk I tend to collect!

Dandy Tux Deluxe: Lady Lucie Late

I'm surprised I hadn't posted these here before! I assure you I will slap my own hand.

With The Roustabouts due to DJ the Torture Garden Easter Ball at the Ministry of Sound, I needed something particularly awesome to wear. Which is where the stunning genius of Lady Lucie came into play!

I have a real soft spot for menswear, and androgyny in general, and Lady Lucie has a few gorgeous pieces that mash-up traditional uniforms or suits with delicious latex. Just take a look at her Military Jacket or the drool-worthy Marching Band Jacket, and of course there is her Moustache lingerie set! But what I really loved was her Tuxedo bodysuit...

It was just SCREAMING to be paired with a bowler hat, moustache and sock garters, dandy style.

I also promised I'd take some shots, which I did with the aid of Markabre Charade.

PUBLISHED: Rebelicious Magazine

A month or so ago I teamed up with one of my favourite models, Jessica Abidde (of BINTM fame) to shoot some exclusive images for Rebelicious Magazine.

The theme of the issue was pin-up, so we decided to take a 1920s approach (surprise surprise), with the help of Cheyenne Raymond on makeup! I love the super thin eyebrows of the 20's, so Cheyenne worked her magic on Jess - don't worry, she still had her natural brows by the end of it ;)

We had some gorgeous lingerie and corsets from Kiss Me Deadly, Boom! Boom! Baby! and Velda Lauder.

Make sure you have a read of Rebelicious Magazine, as it's jam packed full of goodness without the need and one of your five a day. You can read it online, and soon buy it in print - my editorial starts on page 42.

I've uploaded the tearsheets below, but you will need to read the online mag for the ability to zoom in!

And here is a bonus shot that wasn't used in the mag!

Are you looking for some exclusive images to feature in your magazine or publication? Send me over an email at aiko273@me.com and I'd be happy to discuss ideas!

Win a studio photoshoot!

Fancy winning yourself a studio photoshoot with me at the helm and fantastic makeup artist Cheyenne Raymond?

To celebrate the existance of the DJ duo I am part of, The Roustabouts, we are giving away a photoshoot worth over £300, and entering couldn't be easier!

Tweet, share on facebook or reblog on tumblr (or a combination of the three) for up to 3 chances to enter - find out how on this blog post.

Good luck!

A is for Arsenic: Black Heart

When she isn't jetting off all over the world to play in her band Angelspit, or to DJ as part of Industrial Girl Bike Gang, Amelia Arsenic also has about a billion other talents.

One of these talents includes making... things. Many things, it turns out. Jewellery, makeup, clothing, bags - all of them with unique designs and the best materials.

I have previously worked with Amelia, shooting the lookbook for her first A is for Arsenic collection, shooting images that were turned into graphics for her second collection, and now helped her shoot the lookbook for her new Black Heart jewellery collection.

Here are a few shots I took, which Amelia did some awesome editing on! I'm sure you can expect to see a few more soon.
